"Maui Woman Making a Difference 2002" - Resolution passed by Maui County, Hawaii
Pat Masumoto

Although my goal has always been to play like a kid and never grow up, I'm just now giggling and laughing boisterously everyday. Perhaps this has to do with overcoming what seemed like a never-ending cycle of hardships. Today my creative impulses sizzle! I don't want to greet the night, being too busy figuring something out and impatient to arrive at the solution. I'm often asked how I manage my varied involvements in the arts. Shifting my focus from one to another necessitates a spontaneity that softens the rigidities of my thoughts and feelings. There is so much more to learn, so much more to do.
